Editorial note: This dossier reviews WhatsApp screenshots and evidence files prepared for judicial submission. The existence of a message and the truth of an allegation contained in it are different questions.
“I am the person who made the news”
One archived screenshot contains a message attributed to Kürşat Şahin Yıldırımer stating, “I am the person who made the news and I will continue to write for as long as I consider necessary.” It also says that research was conducted and information obtained about Bilal Semih Bozdemir.
Cambodia and other language
Another chat displayed under “Kürşat Hoca” refers to a “Cambodia adventure,” a diplomatic passport, “the state is always 18 years old,” prison-related wording and a “first signature.” A separate screenshot compares a voice recording to a mosquito buzzing at night and refers to a fly-swatter. Their legal meaning depends on context.
Claims requiring verification
The statement that “Timur became an informant” has not been independently verified and is reported only as an allegation in a message. A separate forwarded WhatsApp message in the evidence archive, whose original author is not technically verified, makes extremely serious claims involving the deceased son, Mossad and a killing in a military context. Judicial files do not accept that narrative as established fact. The reviewed record does not verify a “two bullets” detail, this particular message cannot be definitively attributed to Kürşat Şahin Yıldırımer, and an alleged killing by the Turkish Armed Forces cannot be presented as proven fact.
Legal framework
Privacy, personal-data protection, the presumption of innocence, personality rights and the right of reply must be respected. Telephone numbers and irrelevant third-party details should be redacted from public images.
